The main ingredient in Lactivist® is torbangun, an incredible herb that is traditionally consumed as a soup to promote postpartum recovery and abundant breast milk production. It contains naturally occurring vitamins and minerals like calcium, magnesium and iron to help with postpartum fatigue and enrich milk quality. In one clinical study, three groups of 25 women each were given fenugreek, torbangun or B12 for 30 days. The torbangun group saw a 65% increase in breastmilk volume in the last 2 weeks of the study. This increase was much higher than with the groups receiving B12 or fenugreek which were only 10% and 20% respectively.

    Lactivist supplement for milk supply issues

    I purchased this supplement at the recommendation of a medical provider after experiencing a decrease in my milk supply. I took this supplement along with Goat’s Rue and did see a rather significant increase in my milk supply. The taste is slightly less than desirable.

    Wow

    I had a breast reduction surgery many years ago and had almost no milk for my first baby. I had my second and we had to start supplementing almost immediately. I think he was about 6 weeks old, we were making 3 oz bottles to follow up nursing sessions. Almost immediately after starting lactivist, we could start making 2 oz bottles instead! So I estimate I got an 8-10 oz boost. It took a few days to get another bottle after I ran out and he started taking bigger bottles again. After I got a new bottle, he went right back down.

    Milk increase

    The taste is a little odd as it has a very smoky flavor, but the results seem to speak for themselves! I have gone from pumping 1-2 ounces to now 3-4!! Paired with liquid gold seems to be a dynamic duo. Highly recommended!
